We're Going on Two Field Trips in April!

7^th Grade Families,

                I am writing this post in addition to handing the permission slips to help aid you in your inquiry about the field trips we will be taking and what I still need to make these two trips successful. Here are basic details..

Air Mobility Command Museum at the Dover Air Force Base.- https://youtu.be/aQdf7XHnkjY

April 19^th 9am-12:30pm (9-10 travel, 10-11:30 Museum Tour, 11:30-12:30 travel)

Cost $8.00

Lunch- We should be back within time to eat lunch at school at 12:40pm

Purpose: Investigate STEM careers in the area of Aeronautics

April 22^nd -9:10am- 2:00pm

Cost $9.00

Lunch- Please bring a bagged lunch we will be eating at Winterthur

Purpose: Two Programs- “Discover the Science of Museum Collections” and “Ritual and Revolution: The importance of Tea”

What I still need:

Money: Trip cost has been reduced thanks to the school’s PTO. Cash and Check is accepted. Check is preferred. Check(s) will need to be made payable to “Brandywine Springs School”. Please use the memo line to indicate that it is for 7^th Grade Field Trips.  You can make out one check and pay off both field trips. ($17.00)

Chaperones: I need 7 parent chaperones for each trip. It will be a first come, first served. If you are interested please e-mail me peter.kelly@redclay.k12.de.us  your interest and in the subject line please indicate “AMC” for Air Mobility Command, or “Winterthur” for the Winterthur trip. If you would like to do both that is fine, but there might not be enough room for you. Please indicate a preference.

Paperwork: Field trip forms have two sides. Please make sure that you fill out the form and please DO NOT CUT THE FORM IN HALF.  Please consider saving this letter to have to add to your Calendar.
