CS Ed Week is one month away, and Google CS First is excited to announce a partnership with Cartoon Network for a new Hour of Code project called Gumball's Coding Adventure, inspired by The Amazing World of Gumball episode "The Signal"! We are eager to watch students connect with online content they love and discover how to code while engaging with Gumball!
The Amazing World of Gumball is about a young cat named Gumball Watterson. Gumball has a penchant for getting into trouble, often resulting from schemes he comes up with, but he never seems to learn his lesson. Students will be challenged to help Gumball and his friends solve their problems with code! To inspire students, Cartoon Network will air "The Signal" on November 29 so encourage your students to check it out ahead of time!
To prepare, teachers can create a club, which will allow them to schedule Hour of Code, and select either the Gumball or High Seas Adventure activity as a way to try out the club experience. This is a great opportunity for teachers interested in trying the full CS First curriculum in 2017.
So, mark your calendars for CS Ed Week Dec. 5 - 9, plan ahead, and celebrate with Google and Cartoon Network.
